Class Ambassadors
During the Autumn Term we have been working alongside Nestle to create a Social Enterprise. This is an initiative with The Centre for Leadership
Each week we have met with Georgia and her team.
This taught us many skills such as leadership, collaboration and resilience.
We also won an award for the third time in a row!
This year it was for Best and Most Positive Long-Term Impact
Here's what they said about us
Winning School: Kingmoor Nursery and Infant School
Business Mentor: Nestlé
Social Enterprise: The pupils got creative with their Christmas Window Wander sheets and a craft competition and made reindeer food and log Christmas tree decorations – all designed with sustainability in mind! Their efforts supported Oak Tree Animal Refuge and they did a fantastic job marketing their social enterprise with festive digital posters and social media posts that really grabbed attention.
Reason for win: The pupils put together their social enterprise with sustainability at the heart of it, aiming to create a lasting positive impact while backing Oak Tree Animal Refuge. After a class vote to focus on sustainability, they made some awesome choices, like using recycled materials for packaging, picking cardboard over plastic, and collecting scrap paper to print their Christmas Window Wander sheets. To raise support for their cause, they kicked off a craft competition all about recycling and even created cute handmade items like reindeer food and log Christmas tree decorations, all crafted with sustainability and the long term impact in mind!

Our Woodland Wellbeing Event was a huge success!
The Centre for Leadership were so pleased with us that we won an award!
Winning School: Kingmoor Nursery and Infant School
Business Mentor: Bendalls Engineering
Social Enterprise: This group organised a Woodland Wellbeing Event and made worry sticks, seed packets for wildflowers, woodland creatures and clay hedgehogs. They also ran a logo design, poetry and photography competition. Profit is going towards Carlisle Key Charity and to support ongoing Woodland Wellbeing events and KINGFEST 2024.
Reason for win: It was a fantastic idea to involve everyone in the logo design by holding a competition. Their winning logo was creative, incorporating their school’s name, woodland elements, and their worry sticks were beautiful and creative. They designed and made seed boxes, all with their own personalised designs and artwork.

Prism Arts charity fundraising
During Arts Week the school ambassadors wanted to support a local charity.
Emma from Prism Arts got in touch and we thought this was the perfect opportunity to support adults with disabilities in the Carlisle area. Prism Arts relies on donations to make their charitable work a success.
We held a competition to raise money, we were so pleased by the support from our school community and have raised £150! We are thrilled to be able to donate this money to such a worthy charity.
Parking at school
The ambassadors have created a video to help keep everyone safe when they are coming to school. This is a short snippet! please see our social media for the full video
We know parking can be difficult and sometimes we are in a rush but please park safely and respectfully!
King Charles III Coronation - Our Year 2 ambassadors decorated the trees in Lowry Hill with the crowns the children in EYFS made. They look fabulous!
To promote our understanding of global learning we held a poster competition to help remind everyone in school to recycle the paper waste.
We were thrilled with the entries and it was difficult to choose the winners
Well done to all children and don't forget to recycle!
Recycling bin - Red Sky Foundation - We have launched our new recyling bin which is open for all the school community to use - its located in the car park near the bike racks
The ambassadors held a drawing competition and were so impressed with the entries. They were tasked with the tricky job of judging it and were all fair and complimentary of the children's work.
These were the winning pictures - well done everyone
